Mrs. Davis

Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Trisha Davis

trisha davis

This is my 24th  year teaching for Baltimore County Public School and my 11th year at Edgemere Elementary School.  I graduated from Towson University with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education. I love to read in my free time and enjoy reading lots of fun stories to the children.  You will hear a lot about some of my favorite characters such as Pete the Cat and Piggie and Elephant!

My goal for this school year is for your child to enjoy coming to school and for them to come home everyday with a smile on their face.  Of course, we will be learning our letters and sounds as well!

I am always available to speak with parents if you should have any questions or concerns.  I can be reached at 410-887-7507 or by email at [email protected]. Keep up to date on all the exciting events going on at Edgemere by visiting my useful links page.  Feel free to send our school a tweet @Edgemere_BCPS

Welcome to Pre-K!
I am very excited to work with you and your child this school year.  I have a fun school year planned.

During the first quarter of our reading program, called DLM, we will begin to learn the letters of the alphabet, along with the sounds, for the letters Aa, Ss, Mm and Dd. You can help join in the letter fun by reviewing the letters and sound cards as they come home. To add to our reading excitement, we will also be learning to read sight words.  Our first words will be my, the and a. We will be very busy in our first  months of school!

Math is fun!  As school begins, we will be learning shapes, sorting and patterns.  We will be working in whole groups and small groups to get our mathematical thinking in gear!

In the month of September, you will hear your child talk about a new friend, Shubert.  Shubert is part of a program we use at school to help children manage  their feelings. Some of the strategies we use are breathing techniques, songs and a safe place. You can learn how to be a S.T.A.R!!

Let's bring on the fun in Pre-K!!
