About Me
This will be my third year teaching at Edgemere Elementary School. I attended Ithaca College for my bachelor's degree and the University of Northern Colorado for my master's. My area of specialty is music education, specifically teaching instrumental lessons.
Our Class
Exploratory Music: I see each fourth grade homeroom once a week for exploratory music. The students will learn about the instrument families and be able to perform on Trumpet, Clarinet, and Violin throughout the year. The students will explore how sounds are created and how to classify instruments into each family.
5th Grade Instrumental Music: Students are able to choose an instrument this year! Students will then be placed into group lessons that will meet weekly. There will be a spring concert to showcase all that we will have learned this year. There will be a lot of paperwork going home about how to be a part of instrumental music, please do not hesitate to contact me for anything. There is a place for everyone that wants to be a part of instrumental music, there are things that can be done especially if there are financial concerns.
