Pride Promise
I promise to:
Persist with all tasks
Respect my teachers, peers and myself
Interact kindly
Do my best always
Enjoy our diversity
I have a BS from Frostburg and Masters from Towson University both in Early Childhood Education. I also have an additional 60 credits in Education coursework and am ESOL certified.
I began teaching in the 1984-1985 school year at a Head Start after a few years in the seafood industry (I filleted a lot of fish and shucked about a million oysters and clams). Except for 1/2 year in second grade and one in Pre-K all of the other years have been in Kindergarten. But now...it's back to second!
In addition to teaching young children I taught courses in Early Childhood Growth and Development and Early Childhood Curriculum Development at CCBC for several semesters. I have been teaching the Maryland Basic Boating course for the DNR through CCBC for 15 years. I also held a 25 ton Masters License for 25 years.
I will continue to host the Fiddle Club in my room this year. More on that later.
I have been married for 28 years to an extremely patient and beautiful wife. We have three sons, four granddaughters and two grandsons. We need a bigger boat!
