Edgemere Elementary School

School Programs
The original Edgemere School was built in 1923 and housed many generations of Edgemere families for seventy-two years.  At the close of the 1995-1996 school year, the old building was torn down, and the new school opened in January of 1998.  The school staff strongly believes in helping each student to realize his or her greatest potential.  Equity funding has provided a strong technology program and the means to hire additional instructional assistants.  Edgemere Elementary School is a Student/Teaching Center, maintaining a close relationship with the College of Education from Towson University.  An active and supportive PTA, and a strong volunteer program assures that every student obtains the needed assistance. A hard working and nurturing staff plan and implement a program which meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.

School Song

Edgemere! Our spirit stands on high.
Edgemere! Our pride we can't deny.
History and courage surround your name.
Students of your past and present
Find your qualities so pleasant.
Edgemere! We strive for excellence.
Edgemere! We gain experience.
Building our foundation with life-long tools, yes.
Edgemere! We're a proud school.
